The Ottawa Couple and Family Institute is staffed with a number of experienced therapists who are skilled in providing Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Dr. Sue Johnson, Director of OCFI is a master therapist in the field of couple and family therapy and the primary developer of the EFT model.
The staff at the OCFI offers expertise gained from decades of experience in treating a number of adult life problems including depression, anxiety disorders, traumatic stress disorders and problems associated with physical illness. Therapy is also available at the Institute for child and adolescent difficulties.
We offer couple, family and individual therapy during the day and in the evening. Our services are offered in both English and French and are covered by most extended health insurance plans. You may have questions about the OCFI and what you can expect of your counselling sessions. Answers to some of these questions are found in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
